For a one-time fee, the plan will pay all costs associated with bringing a deceased home if they pass away more than 100 km away from their legal residence. Meaning: if a person who resides in Kapuskasing passes away in Timmins, the plan would cover the preparation and transportation to Guenette Funeral Home.
Coverage includes:
- Protection for members if death occurs more than 100 kilometres from their principle residence.
- Protection while traveling anywhere in the world, even if death occurs outside of home Province
- Arranges for preparation (embalming or cremation) and transportation of the deceased to Guenette Funeral Home
- All details are organized by professionals with technical and translation services provided
- All expenses paid directly by the plan = no out of pocket expenses for the family
Additional benefits include:
- Arranges and pays for a travel companion to accompany the deceased home
- If the deceased is traveling alone, the plan arranges and pays for one next of kin to travel to place of death to accompany the deceased home
- Brings pets home safely
- Also offers bereavement support for surviving family members
Payment and flexibility:
- Enrollment at any age providing lifetime coverage for a one-time fee of $495
- Paid as a single payment (VISA, MasterCard, or Cheque)
