Joseph Brigati

Joseph Brigati passed away on Wednesday in Washington D.C. Born in Glen Cove, NY on November 30, 1940, he was a graduate of Notre Dame University. Joe received his law degree from Duke University and was a founding member of KLGates, retiring this past June after 43 years of service. A longtime member of Columbia Country Club, he became president of the club in December 2009.
Joe was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Petras and parents, George and Elizabeth.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Chapel of the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament 3630 Quesada Street, NW; Washington, D.C.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Jean Taylor Brigati; children, Kelli Magnarelli, Daniel Brigati, Lisa Spikell and David Brigati, sisters, Jane and Pat; brother, George (Spike); 10 beloved grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
